Shipping

We ship everywhere except the Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria and North Korea.

Overnight: next day delivery in the US

Express: 1-3 business days in the US, Canada, and internationally

Standard: 3-5 business days in the US and internationally, 3-6 days in Canada

Yup. All orders shipping with the overnight delivery method for domestic orders will automatically be marked as priority in our system and bumped up in the fulfillment queue. For international shipments, orders with the express delivery method will be marked as priority.

All of our shipping methods have tracking numbers.

Each item we ship may have different delivery times. This is because some products are packaged and shipped separately.For example, we send our posters in super-durable tubes. Obviously, a canvas won’t fit in there.

Shipping prices are cumulative. When you’re calculating shipping prices on your end, make sure to add up the different shipping prices for all of the products you’re sending.

You will receive an email when your order ships with a tracking number and link. Just use this to track your order.

Your order was shipped but it can take up to 48 hours for tracking info to show up in a carrier’s tracking system.

Note that international shipment tracking may take up to a few days to display any updates but that doesn’t necessarily mean the shipment is lost.

Because of the variety of products we fulfill, we package each item based on dimension requirements to ensure protection during shipment.  Canvases are usually shipped in corrugated boxes, ranging in dimensions of 26x20x18 to 28×5.5×38. Frames are first wrapped in tissue paper to protect them from scratches and are then wrapped in a layer of adhesive bubble wrap. Finally, they are wrapped in a thicker, more durable bubble wrap that will add extra protection during shipment.

The poly bags used in our packaging are recyclable, low-density polyethylene, FDA and USDA compliant.

Since carriers calculate live shipping rates mainly by the zip code entered it is possible that an incorrectly formatted address could be entered and the package is still able to ship from our facility.

In some scenarios, the local post is still able to make the delivery depending on the error that was made in entering the recipient address.

If they are unable to deliver the package it will be returned to Printful and you will be notified once it is received back. Within 4 weeks you will need to confirm the updated and correct address as well as confirm the charges for re-shipping the package.

If something arrives damaged, send a photo of the damaged goods with your shipping information to [email protected], then we’ll gladly send a replacement at no cost to you.

For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date. But no worries! We’ll cover the costs of reprinting and shipping a replacement order for you.

We may ask for your help before doing that, like confirming with your customer that the shipping address was correct. It would also be good to double check that your customer got in touch with their local post office to try locating the lost order.

Keep in mind that if tracking information states an order was delivered but your customer thinks they haven’t received it, we won’t take responsibility and reship that order. In that case, any replacements would have to be at your expense.

Printful will cover a variety of courier errors such as lost or damaged in transit, postage due errors or generally misrouted packages when tracking provides no clear details or cause.

In the rare cases that a parcel is marked as delivered by the courier, but you haven’t received it, we would not cover the cost of reshipping the order. Again, this only applies if the tracking details state that a delivery was made to you.

In most instances, it is found that the delivery was made, but the package was left in an unexpected location at your address. You should reach out to the courier and inquire if any additional details were left by the delivery person – e.g. “left under table on back porch.”

If you are unable to locate the package, you will need to file a claim with the shipper and contact your local police department. Unfortunately stealing packages is a thing now.

Ordering & Taxes

You can pay for your order with any major credit card, PayPal, or ApplePay.

Providing our customers with a safe and secure shopping experience is critical for us. Your credit card transactions are encrypted and our servers are secure to protect you and your information. We will never sell or provide your information to an outside party. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for additional information.

Orders shipped to California pay sales tax.

I get a percentage of profit for every item sold. The profit varies by item, but is usually a few dollars. I use this money to help defer costs of running HikingGuy.com. These costs include website hosting, gear testing, and equipment used to produce the guides like cameras, etc.

We take about 2-7 business days to create apparel products (t-shirts, etc.) and 2-5 business days for non-apparel products (posters, etc.). Then you should add shipping times on top of that.

Shipments outside of the USA may incur customs fees depending on the destination country. The fee may vary depending on your order value, country limits, and other factors based on the product itself. You are responsible for these fees. Any fees are paid to appropriate customs agency by you.

Customs agencies often calculate duties/fees based on the declared retail price.

As soon as you place your order we begin processing it. Therefore, we are unable to change or cancel orders.

Products

I (Cris Hazzard, aka HikingGuy) do all of the graphic design and creative work. I partner with another company to actually manufacture them.

I’ve partnered with a great company called Printful. Before starting this endeavor I did months of research into different options. My main goal was to find a great printer who could produce high-quality items that people would be happy to use. Printful not only had the best quality products, but they also were great to work with. They have four locations: CA, NC, Tijuana, and Latvia, allowing me to handle orders worldwide. They don’t outsource, have great customer service, and haven’t let me down.

Whenever possible we choose shirts and items manufactured in the USA. We’ll include a “Made in the USA” mark on the products that are. Some products are made in Mexico and then shipped to San Diego, from where they are shipped to you. You pay no customs duties.

All orders go through a 3-step quality check before we ship them out. Automated software checks graphics for quality before printing. Fulfillment specialists check quality while orders print. Final quality check after printing and curing.

Printed t-shirts can be machine-washed cold, inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors. Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. You shouldn’t use any fabric softeners, or dry-clean the items.Tumble-dry on a low cycle, but hang dry works best.When it comes to ironing, use cool iron inside-out. Do not iron the print.

Be wary of washing and drying on a high setting, especially when the garment is 100% cotton. High-temperature washes can fade and crack the print, and a high-temperature dryer settings can shrink the garment, as well as damage the print.

Keep in mind that the original manufacturer’s care instructions don’t take into consideration the printing process. Follow the instructions here.

Our mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe.

To ensure that your posters and canvas last for a long time, don’t keep them in direct sunlight or outdoors.

We try to do our best to minimize waste in packaging and source eco-friendly packaging materials. Many of our packaging materials are either recyclable or biodegradable. Bubble wraps are made from a minimum of 15% recycled plastic and 10% post-consumer content. Our kraft tubes are made from 70-100% post-consumer recycled content and 0-30% secondary recycled content.

Our apparel is created with the latest in garment printing technology. In addition, our inks are water based and eco-friendly. This makes the feel much softer than traditional screen printed shirts, but just as durable.

We’re using CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) compliant inks, which are required when printing on children’s wear 12 and below.

Our standard process is the Direct to Garment (DTG) method of printing. That means we can create photo quality prints. We use Kornit and Brother printers for all DTG printed garments.

Our experience shows us that DTG printed shirts are just as durable as screen printed shirts when it comes to washability.

In some cases, products are represented with digital illustrations. Because of differences in color values from screen to screen, design colors may vary slightly on actual product.  In some cases, actual tshirt material and color may vary slightly.

Returns and Exchanges

Because we print on demand we only accept returns or exchanges if an item is defective.

Because of this, please make sure you read the sizing chart carefully. Every item has an accurate size chart.

Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted to [email protected] within 4 weeks after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense
